In History, we are covering ancient Greece, Rome, and the effect of Christianity in Europe. We will cover Nero and persecution of Christians, the fall of Rome, the Middle Ages, the invention of the printing press and the Protestant Reformation. Students will continue to work in their nation notebooks and we will continue to cover various geographical aspects of our planet.
We are studying stars, solar system and the sun in Science. We will be studying weather and vertebrates before we switch to Health for the rest of the year.
Stduents are concentrating on the steps to being a better writer and to research material thoroughly for writing projects such as research papers. Students continue to learn about the different parts of speech, and how to diagram sentences.
In Math, students in both classes continue to work on problem solving, geometry, fractions, and decimals. Both classes learn simple algebra.
Students will soon go on a field trip to a natural museum and included will be a nature study walk and a hike to a summit of a hill located in the vicinity.
